| Published Author, Motivational Speaker, Retired College Professor Dr. Yuvonne C. Brooks was born and raised in Camden, NJ and served in the U.S. Navy where she won many singing competitions. | UVON, began airing on The King Biscuit Time Blues Radio Show on KFFT, Helena, AK. This is the oldest blues radio program in The United States. UVON has opened for: Honeyboy Edwards, Robert Jr. Lockwood, Henry Gray, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Billy Boy Arnold, Roy Gaines & Dave Meyers, Rudy Ray Moore, Cephas & Wiggans and others. She has performed with: Long John Hunter, Chico Chism, Michael Burks, and Paul de Lay just to name a few artists. UVON performs an original theatrical show titled "Blues and Jazz Revue." |
| The show presents historical vignettes along with blues, jazz and show tunes where the audience is invited to sing along. She skillfully weaves music and catchy phrases, presenting a high energy, hand-clapping, toe-tapping, interactive performance. The Blues and Jazz Revue has been performed at schools, colleges, public libraries, retirement communities, and theaters. This show is also suitable for casino showrooms and corporate events.
